As early as 22.59 on Friday, September 27 (Swedish time), the ladies will run marathons, which will lead to the first world champion in Doha. Sweden shows up with Charlotta Fougberg, Johanna Bäcklund and Cecilia Norrbom. Federal Captain Karin Torneklint feels anxious about the endurance tests in the extreme heat. Inside the stadium, AC plants will keep the heat in check but the marathon race is running out on the streets.

- In the run and marathon we have to be very careful, so I'm worried about that. It is hot, you run in the middle of the night and it is high humidity and still 33-34 degrees warm. We have to take that seriously, Torneklint tells SVT Sport.

Fougberg has loaded ahead of the competition in a basement at a fire station in Gothenburg, specially equipped to resemble the Doha climate.

- I had a pretty high pressure and heat over my head and started to feel that I started to freeze and got some goose bumps. I have not been aware of this before, says Fougberg after 1.5 hours on the treadmill about the unpleasant feeling where it went black.

- I was happy and expectant before but then the reality turned on. It was something out of the ordinary and will be a really tough performance that we runners will go through, says Fougberg with some fear.

All competitions start at 22.30.
