Tokyo Para Ticket Sales Troubled about 2300 people could not apply, September 20th 4:35

At the Tokyo Paralympics ticket sales, we found that about 2,300 people were unable to proceed due to system problems and could not apply. The tournament organizing committee will accept new applications for 2300 people and be able to participate in the lottery.

Next year's Tokyo Paralympic tickets will be accepted from the 22nd of the month until the 9th of this month.

According to the Organizing Committee, about 2300 people who tried to register new IDs required for application for about 9 and a half hours from the evening of the 8th of this month to the early morning of the 9th, just before the deadline, had trouble with the sales system. It means that the ID could not be registered due to the cause and the application was not possible.

There was an error in the character string of “URL” indicating the access destination required for ID registration.

Since the Paralympic tickets are currently being drawn, the Organizing Committee will accept new applications for 2300 people and will be able to participate in the drawing. I'm going to contact you by email.

On the other hand, the Organizing Committee grasped this situation immediately after the outbreak, but did not announce it until 19th, 10 days later.

The Organizing Committee explains, “It took time to figure out the number of people who had trouble or affected the system that caused it.”
