Morocco's Wydad Casablanca have decided to appeal to the International Sports Court (KAS) to challenge the decision of the CAF Appeals Committee to win Tunisia's Espérance Champions League title after rejecting Wydad's appeal.

Moroccan press reports quoted Wydad chairman Said Naciri as asserting that he would not give in to the CAF decision, which was issued on Sunday, and would again appeal to the sports court to redress his team.

Reports indicated that article 48 of the CAF laws allows Wydad to appeal the committee's decision to the sports court within ten days from the date of the decision.

The CAF appellate panel based its decision to crown Esperance as Wydad's withdrawal, according to the referees' report, which said that Wydad players refused to resume the game after objecting to the canceled goal.He stuck to the rejection of the appeal until a full 90 minutes, after which Gambian referee Bakari Gasama had to end the match.

Al-Kaf said in a statement on his official website on Sunday evening, that "the absence of the video assistant referee technique (Far) has no legal effects at all, and the referee is authorized to take the final decision, and his decision is not due to review by the Appeal Board."
