After just over seven minutes of play, Max Görtz found Fredreik Storm in front of goal extended the Danish puck behind his back and found Konstantin Komarek who could shave the puck. Three minutes later Rögle acknowledged and that goal came through fine play as Kodie Curran was able to sneak up and completely clean in front of goal sweep 1-1, after assist by Daniel Zaar.
Zaar then followed up the receipt by giving Ängelholmslaget the lead in powerplay after 17.50 of the first period. Dennis Everberg cut in front of goal and released the puck to Zaar who could put it 2-1.
