Kenichiro Bunda

Kenichiro Bunda is a 23-year-old from Kashiwazaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, who is a 60-kilometer wrestling men's Greco-Roman style and has confirmed the Tokyo Olympic national team offer.

The skill of “sled throw”, which is good at exciting throwing techniques and throws with its back greatly bent, is said to be the best in the world and is called “cat wrestler” because of the softness of the body such as the back.

In the wrestling club of the high school where his father supervises, he refined his throwing skills and advanced to the powerful Japanese physical education university.

In Japan, we competed with Shinobu Ota, a silver medalist at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, and a senior university student. Grabbed the position of the World Championship representative with 6-4 wins.

Although rivals around the world have studied “sled throwing”, they have learned new throwing techniques and have grown into their own growth, so we decided to advance to the finals of this tournament and ensure the representative appointment for the Tokyo Olympics.

We aim to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games for the first time in 36 years in the Greco-Roman style of Japan.
