Being a former football player does not have to mean the benefit of an elite coach.

- I think many of us former football players get a little comfortable in some respects but you have to put in the time and work if you want to keep up, otherwise the computer coaches leave, says Olof Mellberg.

He uses Mellberg's player experience mainly in details in the defense game. In addition, he spends many hours plugging training courses, tactics and scouting. The dream of working as a coach was not born until the end of the player career - but he has always been interested in tactics.

- In the last ten years, football has developed tremendously, not least with the tools, technology and research you can use during training. It is important to keep up to date to be able to benefit from the experiences I had as a player, but also the ones I get as a coach, he says.
