Many of Malmö FF's supporters have been clear in their dissatisfaction with AFC Eskilstuna and their methods of establishing an elite team. That MFF now, like AFC has done, wants to take over an already established team is not seen with the gentle eyes of many of the fans. However, the chairman does not make that comparison.

- We do not buy anything, this is a merger which is also on request from LB07. So we help and make sure that this is a good development for the young people in Malmö, says Anders Pålsson.

If the comments on twitter reflect the views of the members, we will know during the Extraordinary Annual Meeting later this year. What is clear is that club members must vote through the proposal before it becomes a reality.

Here's how it sounds in a text on Malmö FF's page on the Swedish Fans supporter platform:

“Whether the plans become a reality remains to be seen. For many of Malmö FF's members, this is not even worth discussing, but is an issue that should be immediately thrown into the nearest trash can. Should we, our association, take shortcuts to get a women's team? Are we then not on the same level as AFC Eskilstuna or Red Bull Salzburg, which we mocked and crocheted and fired right for many years now? Or is this not even comparable to the trixing and buying of the clubs? "
