Last season Leksand took the step back to SHL.

But what most people probably remember clearly from their season is the accident that occurred on the second day of Christmas, when Tobias Forsberg broke into the coffin with violent speed.

Available in mind

In the end, it turned out that he was so badly injured that he was paralyzed below his chest.

And although Forsberg is now away from the club, he will be in the teammates' minds now that the team enters SHL.

- Of course. Clearly seventeen that he remains here all around us for everyone in the team who stayed late last year and has got to know him, says team captain Martin Karlsson to SVT Sport, and continues:

- At the same time, it's a new team, too. But in a way he is still there.

Does he have much contact with you in the team?

- Little neighbor anyway. We are a few who have played with him for a few years, so you know him as a friend. He does not live in Leksand, but we have had the opportunity to meet a few times.

"A lot of lace"

For Leksand, this is the third time in seven years that they will start a season as a newcomer to SHL. And the goal now is of course to establish itself in the highest series seriously. Martin Karlsson sees several reasons why they will succeed.

- We have got very good guys coming in from outside, with a lot of routine and a lot of tips with good players. Then we have a good foundation with players who have played here before and know what it is about when you play in Leksand, he says.
