Sävehof has not played the Champions League on the men's side since 2012 and well back there was hardly any roster. It was an overdrive when they were set against tonight's Finnish champions Cocks, who won the domestic league seven years in a row.

Bogojevic behind the victory

Apart from 0-1, Sävehof was in the lead throughout the match. Cocks kept going up to 8-9, then Sävehof switched up and moved to a five-goal lead before the break. Much was about William Bogojevic who accounted for seven of the goals in the match which Sävehof eventually won with 30-25.

Next week, Sävehof will meet Eurofarm Rabotnik from Northern Macedonia.

Sävehof has shown that the turbulence in the club over the past week, where the playing coach, Jonas Larholm had to leave his post, had not left any deep sporting tracks. At least not at the start of the season, where Sävehof won two of three matches with both league and Champions League included.
