The most intense year of Ferrari in terms of product launches continues, this time with the presentation of the F8 Spider, the convertible version of the F8 Tribute, the sports car with V8 engine that occupies the core of the Ferrari range.

The Italian brand defines the F8 Spider as an "independent model" of the berlinetta but shares with it the basic approach: it is a performance car, as expected of a Ferrari (in fact it exceeds 488 Spider in this section), but offering the Sufficient comfort for daily use.

The rigid roof is the differentiating part of this model, an element created in two pieces and housed above the engine. Its opening and closing choreography lasts only 14 seconds and can be executed in motion, even at a speed of 45 km / h .

It gives way to an interior similar to what we already know of the F8 and previous models of the brand, with most of the controls integrated in a new steering wheel, as are the sports seats. The passenger of the F8 Spider will also have at its disposal (although as optional equipment) a digital display in which, for example, enjoy the visualization of the performance figures of the vehicle.

The F8 Spider relieves 488, which it improves in key numbers. The engine (the award-winning 3.9 V8 biturbo) is 50 horsepower more powerful - now with 720 hp - which adds a weight saving of 20 kilos. In fact, it is barely 20 kilos heavier than the 488 Spider Track, this one with a clearly more extreme approach. The F8 Spider is also 10% more efficient than the 488.

The numbers speak for themselves: the F8 Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in less than three seconds, reaches 200 in 8.2 and shoots up to 340 km / h top speed. To help us control this flow of force Ferrari has extended the effect of the lateral sliding angle control (a very sporty driving assistance system) also to the Race mode of the manettino (the mode control knob located on the steering wheel).

The Ferrari F8 Spider will also have a controlled maintenance program during the first seven years of the vehicle's life.
