After three straight final losses against IFK Kristianstad, this spring, Alingsås had the chance to clinch the club's third SM gold. But despite leading 2-1 in matches, the team fell at home to Estrad by 27-20 in the fifth and decisive match. Tonight they met again, again in Estrad.

Sävehof has already premiered in this season's edition of the Handball League. For Alingsås it was the first match of the season and they immediately showed that they did not intend to let Sävehof win again in Alingsås.

The shock came just before half time, when Alingsås pulled away to a six-goal lead, thanks in large part to William Andersson Moberg, who in total accounted for six goals in the match.

In the case, Niklas Kraft played big, which for a long time had a rescue percentage that was over 50 percent but ended at just under 46 percent. The final score was 28-23.
