Sharjah team was crowned champion of the Super Handball Cup, for the third year in a row, after yesterday's victory over Shabab Al-Ahli (26-24), in a match that gathered them at Al-Nasr Club in Dubai. With his victory, Sharjah booked his place as the representative of the UAE hand in the third edition of the “UAE-Bahraini Super”, which will be held in the Bahraini capital Manama on 11 October.

Sharjah continued to dominate the local super title, after a first edition won by Al Jazeera in 2016, before starting its series of titles in the 2017 edition, then winning the titles of 2018 and 2019, while the youth of Al Ahli were deprived of the title, despite the latter's final in the fourth year in a row.

Following the end of the match, the Secretary General of the General Sports Authority, Saeed Abdul Ghaffar, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Hilal, the President of the Handball Federation Mohamed Julfar, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ahli Youth Sports, Major General Mohammed Al Marri, and the Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club, Salem Obaid Al Shamsi and the President of the Bahrain Handball Federation, Ali Issa, presented Al Ahli Youth with silver medals, handing Sharjah gold medals and the fourth edition cup.

The international crew of Ismail Salem and Mohammed Nasser, the table judges Nabil Abdullah and Ali Jaafar, and technical observer Jamal Saif Al Shamsi were also honored.

Sharjah owes its victory to the brilliance of Egyptian professional Ali Zain (six goals), and international Bahraini Ali Meraz (three goals). The start of the match came close, in light of the exchange of control over the first 10 minutes, after the progress of Al-Ahli youth, before Sharjah achieved its first lead in the 15 minute result (5-4), but he quickly managed to re-take the initiative, and imposed His preference over the rest of the first half ended in his favor (12-9).

In the first minutes of the second half, Sharjah managed to reduce the difference gradually, before he equalized in the sixth minute of the age of this half (12-12), through the brilliance of Ali Zain and the international Bahraini Ali Mirza, but the youth of Al-Ahli returned to advance again, and then draw 17-17, to continue the excitement until the last 24-24 minutes, after which Sharjah managed to score two consecutive goals clinched the title.
