Marcel Hilscher, who won the 8th consecutive overall championship in the Ski Alpine World Cup and won two gold medals at the Pyongchang Olympics, will retire.

The International Ski Association announced the retirement of Hilscher on the 4th of the Federation website.

Hirscher is 30 years old from Austria.

He is an Alpine star who achieved 67 wins in 2nd place in the World Cup and achieved 8 consecutive wins until last season.

In addition to winning a gold medal at the Pyongchang Olympics last year, he won a gold medal in four consecutive tournaments in the World Championship.

Hilshire had a child in October last year, suggesting retirement after the end of last season.
