It was earlier this summer when Expressen reviewed Eriksson that several applications were made to the National Sports Association, RF. During the period between May 31 and June 2, RF received a total of 171 applications for its whistle blower service.

The reason is that Eriksson has been chairman of a lobbying group within the watch industry while he is the chairman of RF.

An investigation was started by an independent law firm, something that Eriksson himself welcomed.

- I would be more worried if we didn't handle it. Whatever it is, it should be investigated, he told SVT Sport in June.

Now the investigation is complete and according to a press release sent by RF, there are no suspicions that Eriksson has used his assignment as chairman of the union, to favor private security companies.

“After taking part in the independent investigation, we find in the Board that there is no basis for further action given the whistleblower reports. The clear result of the investigation is that Björn Eriksson has not acted in a way that results in negative effects on the interests of the sports movement. Now we look ahead and focus on realizing the Sports Movement Strategy 2025, "says Tommy Ohlström, Deputy Chairman of the Swedish Sports Association, in a press release
