Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Captain Sports Academy, has opened in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi, which will be dedicated to discovering talents in gymnastics, swimming, taekwondo, ballet, aikido and football.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Captain Clubs and Sports Facilities Management Company, Abdullah Al-Menhali, and the Director of the company Hamed Saad, and a large number of old players at the ceremony held at Al-Manara School in Al Shamkha.
For his part, former Bani Yas player, Hamed Saad, said that «Captain Company is working to provide sports services for young talents, in order to discover and present them to national teams, in gymnastics, swimming, taekwondo, ballet, Aikido and football».
He added: “We thank Sheikh Saeed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan for attending the opening ceremony, as his presence is a great support for the start of the academy, which we hope will be an opportunity to introduce athletes, in the least participation of the company to serve the sports sector in the country.”
The Academy has several individual games.
