Galatasaray presented Radamel Falcao on Sunday evening. The striker comes over from AS Monaco and becomes a teammate of Orange-international Ryan Babel at the club from Istanbul.
The transfer of the 33-year-old Colombian had been in the air for days and on Sunday he landed at the airport of Istanbul, where he was welcomed en masse by the Galatasaray fans.
Falcao was under contract with AS Monaco until mid-2020, so the top Turkish club has to pay a transfer fee for the routine, who previously played for FC Porto and Atlético Madrid.
In 2013, Falcao signed with Monaco, who rented it to Manchester United in the 2014/2015 season and a year later to Chelsea. At both Premier League clubs he did not succeed in gaining a base position. Falcao's high point at Monaco was reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League and the national title in 2017.

Galatasaray did not start the season well
Earlier this summer Galatasaray already had players like Steven Nzonzi, who is rented from AS Roma, and Christian Luyindama from Standard Luik. 32-year-old Babel came from competitor Besiktas.
For the past two seasons, Galatasaray has been champion of the Turkish Süper Lig, but the start this year is not good. After three rounds, the team of coach Fatih Terim has four points and with that it is in ninth place.
