A few hours before AFC Eskilstuna started today's match away against Örebro, Sirius took a point away towards Örebro, and increased the distance to the team during the relegation line slightly.

AFC Eskilstuna, second last in the Allsvenskan and with two points up to Falkenberg in qualifying, failed to take the chance to reduce the distance up to Sirius and the other teams above the difficult stretches.

The team was, from the minute of the match, a pretty heavy pushback from Örebro. Örebro took the lead after ten minutes when Martin Broberg nodded a corner from Nordin Gerzic.

Just over a quarter later, they increased to 2-0 on penalties, and the game felt pretty settled.

Post shot by AFC

However, AFC reduced just before the break, but when Johan Bertilsson, nicely heeled forward by Martin Broberg, just over six minutes into the second half, it was thank goodness for Eskilstuna.

The visitors then had a lot of ball, but had a hard time creating any chances and were never really close to threatening Örebro's lead, except for a bar shot by Anel Rashkaj in the 81st minute.

- It was a fair victory for Örebro. It's a shame we get 1-3 so early in the second half, coach Nemanja Miljanovic tells C More.

- It felt like Örbeo controlled the match.

Three injuries to ESC

Thus, AFC Eskilstuna, which has now lost four straight matches, has continued two points up to Falkenberg in qualifying and another two to Kalmar who is now in place before Falkenberg.

For Örebro, the victory may have been expensive. No less than three players (Broberg, Martin Lorentzson and Michael Almebäck) were forced to switch with muscle injuries.

- It does not feel good. But the positive is that it is two weeks into the next game, coach Axel Kjäll tells C More.
