Regarding the Europa League, visitor tickets will be capped at 45 euros.

UEFA will now cap at 70 euros the price of visitors tickets in the Champions League and 45 euros in the Europa League, announced the authority and the association Football Supporters Europe Friday.

Last season in the Champions League, supporters of Manchester United and Liverpool complained of the high price of a place in the visitors' stand at Camp Nou, FC Barcelona stadium: 119 euros.

"Progress" for Football Supporters Europe association

This ceiling "represents a progress and we congratulate UEFA.This will put an end to the most egregious excessive price cases, but, in our opinion, it is still (an amount) too high," believes Football Supporters Europe. "By putting a ceiling on ticket prices, we want to make sure that the fans of the teams on the go can always watch the matches and play their part, which makes the atmosphere in the stadiums so special," said UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin.

The decision, which takes "immediate effect", was taken in Monaco, where the draw of Champions League and Europa League took place.
