• The Simone Biles border, we can't jump anymore

Olympic champion Simone Biles lives another family problem after her brother Tevin Biles-Thomas, 24, has been arrested and charged with murder.

According to information provided by several local media, Biles' brother would be related to the fatal shooting that left three people dead and two other injuries occurred at a New Year's party that was held in Cleveland.

Biles-Thomas of Cleveland was arrested Thursday in Fort Stewart, Georgia, where he is a member of the United States Army, according to reports from cleveland.com and other local media that cited a joint statement from the Cleveland Police Division and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

"The relentless persistence of the Cleveland police homicide detectives helped secure an accusation in this case," Cuyahoga County Prosecutor O'Malley said in a statement. "It is through their hard work that we can begin to seek justice for these victims."

Biles-Thomas, who went to high school in Cleveland and was currently enrolled in the United States Army, is so far the only person charged in connection with the fatal shooting.

Biles-Thomas was reportedly part of an "uninvited group" that entered the party on New Year's Eve, which caused an altercation with the guests and some shots.

Two men died at the scene of the crime , identified as Delvante Johnson, 19, and Toshaun Banks, 21, according to police reports of the event. While the third victim, Devaughn Gibson, 23, was pronounced dead in a Cleveland hospital, where she had been moved still alive.

Biles-Thomas is being held at the Liberty County Jail in Hinesville, Georgia, and a prosecution is scheduled for September 13 in Cleveland, according to reports. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.

So far, the Biles family has not made any comment on what happened.
