The former Bosnian international soccer player Emir Spahic, who played in Seville for two seasons between 2011 and 2013, is in "critical condition although his life is not in danger", according to the federation of his country, after suffering a serious traffic accident in the surroundings of Trebinje, south of Bosnia.

Spahic was circulating in a VTC in the company of two other people near the border of Montenegro when he suffered an accident that has caused him "numerous fractures and bruises" that have forced his helicopter transfer to a hospital in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina .

Some of those who were companions of Emir Spahic in Seville, such as Andrés Palop, have reacted to show their solidarity with the Bosnian player.

"A lot of strength for Emir Spahic. I wish you a speedy recovery," the exporter wrote on his Twitter account.

The Emir Spahic power station, retired since 2017 and 94 times international, has just turned 39 and played for two seasons in Seville, in which he played 50 official matches.
