Bengtsson won the SM duel with Meijer

One of the toughest branches to win in the Swedish Championships was the women's pole vault. Angelica Bengtsson won the duel with Michaela Meijer and took home the victory of 4.63. Both will participate in the World Cup in one month.

Bengtsson had already secured the gold at the entry height of 4.32 which she took in the first attempt. Meijer also went in at 4.32 but only managed in the second attempt, where she was high over. Then it stopped for Meijer at 4.47.

Bengtsson finished 4.42 in the second and then took 4.52 in his first try and 4.63 in the third.

- Oh, this she got a really nice hit. There she showed the World Cup form. 4.63 is a value result with the right working conditions with windy and somewhat chilly weather, says SVT Sports expert Kajsa Bergqvist.

The height is the improvement of Bengtsson's championship record from last year by one centimeter.
