Pablo Laso and Real Madrid have reached an agreement to extend the technician's contract, which will continue to lead the white team until June 30, 2021, according to the club in a statement.

The Vitorian coach had renewed on October 25, 2017 until June 30, 2020, which with this new agreement expands one more campaign his relationship with the Madrid entity.

Laso, born on October 13, 1967, became coach of Real Madrid, of which he had also been a player, on June 21, 2011 and his stage could not have been more successful.

The white team has won under its baton five Endesa leagues (2013, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019), two Euroleagues (2015 and 2018), five Copas del Rey (2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017), four Super Cups of Spain (2012, 2013, 2014 and 2018) and an Intercontinental Cup (2015). In total seventeen titles after playing 24 finals of 33 possible.

He has been chosen best coach of the league four times and two of the Euroleague, and, apart from the titles, he has managed to get Real Madrid to display a cheerful and attractive game

Laso, who faces his ninth campaign at the head of the white bench, is, after Lolo Sáinz (14) and Pedro Ferrándiz (10), the Real Madrid coach who accumulates more seasons in office.

Last season he surpassed 600 meetings as a Madrid coach (626), which only surpasses Lolo Sáinz with 734.
