The entire left forearm is covered with plaster after she had a ligament injury in the thumb last week. It's the one that has kept her away from the football team's first two workouts during this week's recharge on Gotland.

The right hand is also covered with a smaller protection. But that thumb is just broken, the 30-year-old says.

- Yes, it's really "just". It is actually much worse to have a ligament injury.

"Longing to get out"

If everything goes as planned, she will attend the next training in Visby, on Friday. And then she plans to be available for the match against Latvia.

- I am fully ready and long to come out on the pitch.

However, she will need special protection to avoid slamming against the newly operated left thumb. She gets it from her new Spanish club, CD Tacón.

- I played a match before I operated and then I had a protection, I have specially designed protection that the club sent to me, which we have cast. So I will wear that.
