Berglund trained on ice with the team on Tuesday after injury and illness.

- He did not get any bad reactions to it and continues it well so he will play on Friday and Sunday. That's the idea, Ohlsson confirms in connection with a press conference ahead of this week's premiere of the Champions Hockey League.

Djurgården's premiere is against Polish Tychy on away schedule on Friday and then another away match awaits against Vienna Capitals on Sunday.

awaited

Berglund has been away since the end of July and missed all four training matches so far. So that's a long-awaited debut Berglund is making.

- Yes, really, both for Patrick's own sake and for our sake. A professional always wants to practice his profession, and for us it is important to get him started. I don't expect big things for the weekend, but he should get some matches and be able to focus on his game, says Robert Ohlsson.

The 31-year-old national team forward is SHL's hottest new acquisition for the season. After just over ten seasons in the NHL, he broke his contract with Buffalo last winter and moved home to Sweden to find back to the joy. He has not played any matches in 2019.

"A good chain"

Berglund will initially play in a chain with team captain Jacob Josefson and Niclas Bergfors.

- A good chain that has most ingredients. Then Patrik will surely need some training and ice lessons before we get to see the best of him, says Ohlsson.

Another positive message for Djurgården is that long-term injured Henrik Eriksson is declared well over a month faster than expected and is ready for comeback.

A total of four rounds of CHL will be played this and next weekend before the SHL premiere on September 14.
