The Consul General of the Republic of South Korea in Dubai, Jeon Young-wook, expressed the Korean side's desire to strengthen cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council in the field of sports, and work together to attract and organize various sports events, especially in the sport of Taekwondo, which was born in South Korea, and went to various Countries of the world, to become the forefront of the most popular sports.

This came during the visit of the Consul to the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council, where he was received by the Secretary General of the Council, Saeed Hareb, who gave the guest and his accompanying delegation an explanation on the role of the Council in the management and development of sports work in the Emirate of Dubai, and the agenda full of various sports events that are Organized in Dubai every year, it exceeds 400 events per year, including competitive sporting events, community events on land, sea, desert, mountain and snow, and in various lounges and stadiums, including dozens of international sporting events.

According to a statement from the Dubai Council, the two sides discussed ways and prospects of sports cooperation between the two sides to achieve the common goals of spreading sport, and encourage members of the community to exercise its significant positive impact on the health and happiness of community members, and its role in promoting ways of rapprochement, coexistence and cooperation between all components of communities.

The Consul commended the development witnessed by the State in all areas, including sports, and the role played by the Dubai Sports Council to spread the exercise and attract and organize various sports events, which attract the participation and follow-up of large segments of society.
