Rugby World Cup final budget plan increased to 63 billion yen Ticket sales were strong August 26 22:20

The organizing committee of the Japan Rugby World Cup opening next month will announce the final budget plan, which increased by 6.6 billion yen to 63.0 billion yen due to strong ticket sales.

The final budget was approved by the World Cup Organizing Committee meeting held on the 26th. As a result, the final budget plan increased by 6.6 billion yen from the previous plan announced in March to a total of 63 billion yen.

In particular, revenue from ticket sales increased ¥ 6.0 billion to ¥ 35.0 billion. Approximately 1.8 million tickets are expected to be sold in total, but 1.64 million, or 90.5%, have already been sold, and 95% of the total is expected to be sold in the end.

In addition, 650 million yen was newly recorded as income expected from private donations, drink sales at each venue, and catering for the audience.

On the other hand, in the event of a disaster such as a typhoon, expenditures were postponed after the final tournament, so new expenses of about 4 billion yen were recorded for venue arrangements.

“We have recorded the necessary expenses for the tournament in a satisfying environment for both the team and the audience. The tickets themselves remain, so all 48 games will be full. I would like to move forward systematically ”.
