Hammarby came down to Falkenberg with a terrible shape. In the last seven, Bajen had six wins and one cross, and that form improved after today's away game. As so many times before this season, it was the goalkeeping boards that became Falkenberg's fall. Darijan Bojanic scored both of Hammarby's goals and became a match hero for Hammarby.

Hammarby hangs in the top match

In the opening minutes of the match, Falkenberg was close to scoring twice again after sloppy defensive play from Hammarby. But there wasn't much more room for the home team this Monday night. Hammarby had a great takeover and after eleven minutes they also took the lead. On a pass from Alexander Kacaniklic, Darijan Bojanic pulled to direct. The finish was basically in the middle of Hampus Nilsson in the Falkenberg goal but somehow the ball went in anyway.

On overtime in the first half Darijan Bojanic stood at the ball for free kick. The ball that was thrown seemed to post but Hampus Nilsson misjudged the situation and could not get hold of the ball before it threw into the goal.

The second half was a clean transport route for Hammarby who did not let go of any major situations and could effectively close the game. 2-0 was the final result and Hammarby breaks its tough trend on natural grass, a ground that had not been won this year until tonight. Hammarby ranks third, six points behind local competitors Djurgården.

But victory can be expensive for Bajen. In the first half, Alexander Kacaniklic had to step off after a feared injury to the back thigh. Midback Richard Magyar also went out with what looked to be a concussion.
