The thigh injury that new long-jump star Tilde Johansson suffered in this weekend's Finnkamp is not as serious as one first thought and the World Cup start in Doha, Qatar, where the women's length will be decided October 5-6, may not be in danger after all.

“Sometimes it's not as you intended! But it's nothing serious and I'll be back on the track soon, ”Johansson writes.

It was in her second jump at Stockholm Stadium that the 18-year-old interrupted the approach and ran through the jumping pit as she made her way to the back of the right thigh.

Lying on the racetrack, she was quickly taken care of by doctors.

"I feel the muscles contract a little"

- Immediately afterwards I was scared and saddened not to be able to jump on. But I quickly realized that it was nothing serious. I'll do more exams this week, but it's not serious anyway. I know that. I can go, says Johansson to Expressen.

- I take small, short steps. As I take longer steps, I feel the muscles contract a little.

Earlier this summer, Johansson took silver in length and gold on short hedges at the U20 European Championships in Borås. Twice she has improved the Swedish junior record which is now 6.73, which is the longest in the world of a junior this year.
