Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised his team's ferocity after leading the Premier League with a third successive season of the season when they beat Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday.

"It was a great game from our side very early in the season, it was an amazing performance, it was full of strength, energy, determination and enthusiasm, that's what I think you need against a team like Arsenal. This energy on the pitch is exceptional, the average effort of all the players was exceptional, the discipline was also exceptional, away from maybe 10-15 minutes.

Although Liverpool leveled off in the last few minutes and allowed Arsenal to score an honorary goal, Klopp was still satisfied with what he saw from his team.

"For 80 minutes we have taken full control of the game. We are not at Disneyland. We don't need to have fun every second."

Klopp, who also paid tribute to his Brazilian players Roberto Firmino and Fabinho, said: "The decision of the penalty in my opinion was quite clear. Really happy with his form, I didn't see any bad player tonight, or a player who appeared to be underperforming.
