Promotion team Aston Villa enjoyed a victory in the professional league stage of England in three years and six months.
Aston Villa won Everton 2-0 in the 2019-2020 Premier League third round home game at Villa Park in Birmingham, London, England.
Aston Villa, who lost 3-2 to Tottenham in the opening season this season, seemed to be sluggish by losing 2-1 to Bournemouth in the second round, but enjoyed the joy of winning their first win in Everton and Round 3.
Aston Villa, who was relegated to the championship (second division) at the bottom of the 2015-2016 season Premier League, survived the championship playoffs last season and returned to the Premier League in four seasons.
