Ymer misses US Open

Mikael Ymer missed tonight to qualify for the US Open after losing to South Korean Hyeon Chung in the last qualifying round in two straight sets, 1-6, 3-6.

Hyeon Chung, ranked 151st in the world, started off strong. After 1-1 in the first set, the South Korea won five straight clips. He started others by breaking Ymer's serve immediately and then won the set by 6-3.

Thus, Ymer failed to qualify for the main tournament. Earlier this year, Ymer qualified for the French Open, where he took the second round.
