The women's volleyball team beat Thailand in the quarter-finals of the Asian Championship. In January of next year, they beat the strongest rivals in the Olympic qualifiers and turned to Tokyo.

The team drove Thailand hard with the triangular formation of Ace Kim Yeon-kyung, Kim Hee-jin and Lee Jae-young, and won the first set comfortably.
