Stina Nilsson has been the world's best sprinter for several years. This winter she hopes to challenge the ski queen Therese Johaug for the overall World Cup.

Nilsson's biggest competitor over the years, World Cup gold medalist Maiken Caspersen Falla believes that Nilsson's investment in the longer distances can make her dangerous even in the sprint.

- I don't know exactly how Stina puts up her training, but I have at least become a better sprinter by training a lot of distance. In sprint, it is usually the one with the best endurance that succeeds, as long as you have good driving skills, she tells Expressen.

Heidi Weng also thinks that Stina Nilsson will be a difficult nut to crack, and if all is right she may even be able to reach the top of the podium in the total.

- She can be very, very good if she gets the tempo in the distance race. Then she will be very difficult to beat. The day she raises a snap there, she can win the overall World Cup, says Weng.

Be more afraid of Björgen

But despite Nilsson's incredible sprinting characteristics, it is another, now retired, rider, which Weng holds most highly there.

- Hmm… I've met Marit Björgen before and I was more afraid of her than Stina Nilsson. But Stina is incredibly strong and incredibly fast. It looks very good to her.
