In 2013, Irene Ekelund broke through big with gold at the 200m Youth World Cup, but the attention and the press became difficult to handle. Years of injury problems followed, and slowly she slid into a depression.

- I felt a lot of pressure and stress. I broke through as a very young person, and then I hurt myself and it really just went down. It's been hard for six years, and it's a long period. I lost myself a little. But now I have begun to find myself and sport back, she says.

What did today's Irene say to yourself as a teenager?

- Take it at your own pace. It was just sports then. I wasn't with friends and stuff, but it was just sports.

She is only 22, so her career is far from over. Today she feels much better, and the dreams of the big championships are still there.
