The sixth round of the RPL will delight fans at once with two metropolitan derby. Of course, the greatest attention will be focused on the confrontation between CSKA and Spartak, but the battle between Dynamo and Lokomotiv promises to be no less interesting.

At first glance, the favorites in this fight are the railroad, because the wards of Yuri Syomin won two victories in a row in the national championship, and in the last match they sent four unanswered goals to the gates of the Urals. In this meeting, red-green literally flew across the field and created a lot of moments at the opponent's goal. Such a football could not but inspire optimism in the hearts of the fans of the team, especially since their favorites showed excellent physical readiness.

But Dynamo did not start the season. In the first five rounds, the blue and white scored only five points and are in one point from the zone of transitional meetings.

Of course, it’s too early to draw conclusions, but taking into account the high tasks set (getting into European competitions), the chair near Dmitry Khokhlov clearly swung. In words, the club management fully supports the coach, but a couple of setbacks can make his resignation quite real.

This game will not be ordinary either for Fyodor Smolov, who began his career with white and blue. A fundamental derby is also for the blue-and-white pupil Dmitry Zhivoglyadov, who moved from Ufa to Lokomotiv in the summer.

The Curse of Loko for Dynamo

It is worth adding that in the 2010s, railroad workers turned for Dynamo into a truly uncomfortable rival. The last time the blue and white beat Lokomotiv more than six years ago - in March 2013. The only goal in that meeting was scored by Ivan Solovyov. Moreover, since at that time it was already known about the talented midfielder leaving for Zenit, the fans met his goal with a whistle. Of the participants in that meeting, both teams left only two people each: Marinato Guillerme and Vedran Chorluka at Loko and Anton Shunin with Arthur Yusupov at Dynamo.

Since then, the blue and white have not beaten the railroad. In ten face-to-face meetings, they suffered six defeats and were content with four draws.

The last two home matches ended in failure, and in 2018 Dynamo conceded four unanswered goals. Perhaps, with the move to the reconstructed home stadium, the “curse” will be lifted.

However, a much more likely result of the upcoming match is another loss of points in blue and white and ... a goal by Anton Miranchuk. The young Loko midfielder has recently turned into a real “evil genius” Dynamo. In four meetings, he hit the opponent’s goal four times and gave one assists. And in that same match in April 2018, Anton made a double.

Waiting for Philip and Georgevich

Also, several newcomers to teams can take part in the capital's derby. Roman Neustedter and Maximilian Philip will finally have the opportunity to help Dynamo. Especially the fans are waiting for the German striker to enter the field, because the team has serious problems with the implementation of the moments.

Having scored nearly three dozen goals in Freiburg and Dortmund Borussia, the football player should help Dynamo in this regard. At the same time, Philip may well be located not at the tip of the attack, but under the attacker. Maximilian has a good last pass, which is also lacking in blue and white.
