The crowns will not go to Finland for next week's training tournament. The boycott is a protest against several things, including that the agreement that provides compensation during national team meetings has not been extended.

Now the message will be that the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, which hosts the upcoming five-nation tournament, will replace Sweden's place with Japan.

- It is working well in the background now to redo the entire program. Fortunately, we have brought the outsider Japan - so it can save the tournament. All teams thus get their four matches if everyone can imagine playing against Japan, says Finnish national team captain Pasi Mustonen to SVT Sport.

- On that we save the week in terms of number of matches.

Do you know if there will be any consequences for the Swedish union?

- As I understand it, Sweden has committed to a four-year agreement that they participate in certain European tournaments. Now they suddenly fail. Allies must be able to trust each other to send a team. It is something that the covenants have to sort out among themselves.
