Dusan Tadic is relieved to make up for his mistake in the return against PAOK in the third preliminary round of the Champions League (3-2 win) on Tuesday-evening. The Serbian was allowed to score three times for a penalty and scored twice.
Tadic missed his first penalty after half an hour, but made up for that mistake by using the second penalty just before half-time. Five minutes before time, the captain struck for the third time from 11 meters, helping Ajax to a place in the play-offs of the Champions League.
"It was not good that I missed the first penalty, but it was not a difficult decision for me to take that second penalty too," Tadic said after the exciting game in the Johan Cruijff ArenA in conversation with Ziggo Sport .
"Tension is always good and I am one of the most experienced players in the team. I like to take responsibility and I have to do that in my role. It was especially important for me to stay focused."

"We just have to get better"
Ajax had just enough of the 3-2 victory to reach the play-offs, because the first match was played 2-2 in Greece last week. The team of trainer Erik ten Hag again had a lot of trouble with PAOK, Tadic also noticed.
"I am a bit relieved here," the 30-year-old Servier admitted. "We just have to get better. It is always difficult for us at the start of the season, because there are other players in certain positions. The most important thing is that we are through."
Ajax must defeat one more opponent to reach the group stage of the Champions League. The national champion plays a diptych with APOEL Nicosia in the play-offs, which dealt with Qarabag on Tuesday evening.
