Novak Djokovic, who played his first match after the victory against Roger Federer in the Wimbledon Final in July, was set against Sam Querrey in the Cincinnati Masters on Tuesday.

The world set, which is the reigning champion, should have started with a bit of shaky play and himself admitted afterwards that he was a little nervous in the beginning. However, he won the meeting 7-5, 6-1 after an hour and 18 minutes of play.

- The fact that I am a reigning champion did not affect me positively or negatively. It was just a joy to be back on the plane and to compete again because it's been a while since the Wimbledon final, says Djukovic to British Metro.

Novak Djokovic: "Took time to reload"

Djokovic pointed out that he needed time to recover mentally after the Wimbledon final.

- It really took some time to recharge the batteries, especially in my head. My body was okay.

He is now facing Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta.

Roger Federer launched more stable. He only needed 61 minutes to beat Juan Londero. The match ended 6-3, 6-4.

Federer will face the winner in the match between Stan Wawrinka and Andrey Rublev.
