Jumbo-Visma is going on a hunt for day victories next week in the BinckBank Tour with Dylan Groenewegen. Mike Teunissen is one of the helpers of the top sprinter in the WorldTour race through Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Dutch riders Timo Roosen and Jos van Emden, the Belgians Maarten Wynants and Laurens De Plus and the German Paul Martens are the other riders in the Jumbo-Visma team.
The 26-year-old Groenewegen has one stage victory in the BinckBank Tour on his honors list. In 2016 he won the first stage in the race that was then still called the Eneco Tour. Last year the sprinter came no further than two sixth places.
Groenewegen will ride his first race since the Tour de France at the European Championships in Alkmaar on Sunday, in which the born Amsterdammer took one stage win. Teunissen won the first stage in France and wore the yellow jersey for two days, while De Plus was an important helper for Steven Kruijswijk.
The BinckBank Tour starts on Monday with a flat stage from Beveren in Belgium to Hulst in Zeeland and lasts seven days. Last year the overall victory went to the Slovenian Matej Mohoric.
