Decent, high-dramatic but ultimately Swedish victory against France in the U17 semi-finals. In the end, Sweden won by 20-19 and wild joy scenes erupted.
On lead 19-18 for Sweden, the pass from Hanna Wedenby landed to the left sex Elsa Åsberg, Åsberg took a couple of quick steps, jumped and pushed in 20-18.
The match ended 20-19 and Sweden is thus ready for the European Championship final. There they are set against Hungary. That match will be played on Sunday.
In the bronze match France faces Denmark.
