The first in the history of the Games of the CIS countries will be held in Kazan in 2020
The first ever Games of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Kazan in 2020.
It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Participants in the competition, in addition to the Russian national team, will be Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. It is noted that further countries may be invited in the future.
At the Games, which will be held from August 20 to August 27, 2020, such sports as judo, sambo, beach volleyball, beach handball, futsal, boxing, Thai boxing, chess, dance sports, fencing, karate, kettlebell sports, arm wrestling, mas-wrestling, wrestling, wrestling on belts (koresh), athletics and basketball.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian team strengthened its leadership in the medal standings after the fifth day of the EI-2019.
