The Spanish Football Federation has entered into negotiations with Saudi Arabia to host the recent Spanish Super Cup.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the offer by the Saudi authorities provides that the latter pay 30 million euros each season and for six seasons starting next year.

The negotiations have not yet reached an agreement between the parties. The long contract period may be an obstacle to reaching an agreement because union officials would like to see the competition in more than one country.

There will also be changes in competition, with the 2019-2020 season in January 2020, all subject to the approval of the General Assembly, which will meet on September 29.
