Johan Cruyff Arena has seen clashes and street battles between Ajax Amsterdam and Juventus ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final match.

Spanish newspaper AS reported that a large number of Juventus fans were arrested before the game and charged with possession of weapons.

Dutch police intervened with horses and used water cannons to disperse the crowd, but failed to end the conflict between the two rebellious audiences, the newspaper said.
