The Netherlands does not yet have a direct CL ticket after Salzburg won

Due to RB Salzburg's 3-1 win over Napoli in the Europa League, it is not yet certain that the champion of the 2019/2020 Premier League season will be directly admitted to the Champions League main tournament.

Due to RB Salzburg's 3-1 win over Napoli in the Europa League, it is not yet certain that the champion of the 2019/2020 Premier League season will be directly admitted to the Champions League main tournament.

With the victory of Salzburg in the eighth finals of the Europa League, Austria again passed the Netherlands on the UEFA coefficient list.

The Austrians are now eleventh, with a minimal lead (0.017 point) at number twelve in the Netherlands. The eleventh place gives the right to a ticket for the main tournament and a place in the preliminary round of the Champions League.

In twelfth place the national champion has to play play-offs and the number two enters in the third preliminary round of the Champions League.

PSV, which won the title last season, was therefore sentenced to play-offs last summer. Also the 2019 champion will not be directly admitted to the Champions League main tournament.

The Netherlands has enough Ajax tie

Because RB Salzburg was eliminated by Napoli despite the victory - in Naples the Italians won 3-0 - there is a good chance that the Netherlands will still pass Austria this season.

Austria no longer has representative clubs in Europe, while Ajax is in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Amsterdam club needs a draw in one of the two quarter-finals to ensure that the Netherlands rises to eleventh place, so that our country will have a direct ticket for the millions in 2020.

Small blow to the arm in eleventh place

Incidentally, in eleventh place on the UEFA coefficient list, there is still a small blow to the arm. The Champions League winner has to qualify for the main tournament through the competition, otherwise the club gets the direct ticket of the number eleven of the ranking.

The last time the Champions League winner did not qualify for the Champions League through the competition was in 2012. Chelsea then became Europe's champion, but finished sixth in the Premier League.

UEFA bases the list of coefficients on the performance of the clubs in the current season and the four previous seasons.

As number ten on the coefficient list, Turkey no longer has any clubs in Europe, but is still far from the Netherlands. The Turks have 34,600 points and our country stands at 31,233 points.
