Youssoufa Moukoko, a highly regarded player in the youth category of Borussia Dortmund, has signed a multi-million-euro contract with Nike, according to information from the German daily Bild.

The young German prodigy of Borussia Dortmund, Youssoufa Moukoko, signed at 14 years a contract with the Nike equipment manufacturer which could bring him several million euros, reports Wednesday the daily Bild .

A player with phenomenal statistics in the youth categories since his arrival in Dortmund in 2016, Moukoko has scored this season 36 goals in 21 games with the U17 Borussia. He was only 12 years old when he was selected for the first time in the U16 national team, with which he scored three goals in four matches. According to Bild , the young boy has already received about a million euros when signing a contract with Nike, and could receive bonuses of a total of 10 million euros, but only on the condition that he becomes professional.

In the spotlight

The regulations in Germany forbid him to play in the first team in an official match before his 16 years, ie in November 2020. Born in Cameroon, Moukoko first played at St Pauli, the second club of Hamburg, before joining the training center in Dortmund in 2016. The media rush around his debut had taken him by surprise.

"The interest in Youssoufa has not been easy to manage for the player and his entourage," U17 coach Michael Feichtenbeiner said in November. "To respect his personal development and the wishes of his family, we decided not to select U17," he said, while Moukoko was just going to blow his 14 candles.
