Manchester United are drawing a lot of attention and focus when they play tonight in the quarter-final of the Champions League, where Barcelona host one of the strongest candidates for the title.

There is also a lot of attention on the Johan Cruyff stadium in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam to follow the night's match between Ajax, who ousted champions Real Madrid and Juventus, who hope to return Cristiano Ronaldo to the club.

Barcelona are looking forward to winning the season with the trio (the Liga, the King's Cup and the Champions League) for the third time in their history, which has already crowned the trio of the seasons of 2009 and 2015.

Barcelona are close to retaining the title of the Liga and the final of the King's Cup in addition to the huge nominations that accompanied him in the Champions League.

Barcelona have been out of the quarter-finals in the past three editions, but the team led by Lionel Messi seems confident after the 2-0 win at Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Barca have beaten Manchester United in the 2009 and 2011 final but have not beaten Manchester United at Old Trafford in any previous match.

"Manchester United are a strong team and now have a good record in their recent matches, which has raised the morale of the team. Barca have never won at Old Trafford," Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde said. "We will try to change this (tonight) .

On the other hand, Juventus are a guest of Ajax with much caution as the Dutch team toppled the royal team in a loud surprise.

Juventus won two titles in the first continental competition, the first in 1985 and the second in 1996, beating Ajax in the final.

Ronaldo returned from a thigh muscle injury to take part in the Juventus camp before tonight's game and is expected to be on the team's list, but his participation depends on the opinion of the medical and training staff.

The Don, a former five-time winner with Manchester United and Real, scored three goals in a hat-trick to oust Juventus from the last month's final.

"Cristiano is feeling better and there are good chances for his participation," Juventus coach Massimiliano Alegre said. "We feel confident and Ronaldo is ready to participate."

Juventus star Federico Bernardi has warned against Ajax's "young team" and "talent".
