Netherlands champion Mathieu van der Poel (Corendon) won Sunday's 54th edition of the Amstel Gold Race, the only Dutch cycling classic, after a stunning final.
Van der Poel, who had come back from behind, overcame Denmark's Jakob Fuglsang and Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe in the final meters. The Italian Alberto Bettiol, in van de Poel's wheel, took second place
