The story of the departure of the Russian figure skater Anastasia Tarakanova from the sports academy "Angels of Plushenko" is gaining momentum. A day after Yevgeny Plushenko announced the termination of cooperation, the 15-year-old athlete decided to tell her version of events. She noted that she was unpleasantly surprised by the statement of a specialist about her quick temper and unwillingness to work.
“Initially I didn’t want to talk about this topic, but yesterday I read the words of Yevgeny Viktorovich (Plushenko. - RT ) and I was very upset! Nobody kicked me out. I respect him very much as an athlete, he gave me the opportunity to continue to practice figure skating. The reason for my transition is not at all what he called, ”Tarakanova wrote on her Instagram page.
She said that this decision was made back in March, together with one of the Academy's mentors, Ksenia Ivanova. The skater did not like the fact that other female students were given more time for ice training due to overcrowding in the group. In addition, she noted that she could not get used to the too small size of the site. However, despite all the inconvenience, Tarakanova, according to her, was responsible for the activities.
“I started studying quad jumps and triple axel at the academy. Sometimes it turned out quite well, however, it is unstable. It used to be upset, but nothing criminal, on the contrary, everyone supported me. It is very disappointing to read such comments, because psychologically, over the past year I have matured, this is all noted, ”she said.
In addition, the athlete added that Plushenko initially understood her decision with understanding and did not interfere with the transition.
“I think he just voiced the opinion that best suits my character. But I still respect him very much and wish him great success! Forgive me, Evgeny Viktorovich, if I offended you with something, ”Tarakanova concluded.
Plushenko himself announced Monday that he left the schoolgirl. According to him, the skater reacted too emotionally to her own failures, she cried in front of the other athletes, was hysterical and hysterical, which was why the decision was made to interrupt the joint work.
“At one time, Nastya was able to change her attitude to the case. But the season is over, and I told her that we need to work on complication. She tried to go to the same axel, but did eight single jumps and began to cry. And this despite the fact that Tarakanova we had a leader. He added that the figure skater will continue to work under the guidance of her former mentor Svetlana Panova, with whom she worked until April 2017. Nevertheless, the coach herself has not yet confirmed this information.
"The final decision on the resumption of joint work with Nastya has not yet been made," - said the expert.
Tarakanova made her debut on the international arena in the season 2017/18 immediately after the start of cooperation with Eteri Tutberidze. In the finals of the Junior Grand Prix in the Japanese Nagoya, she won a bronze medal, which is currently her highest career achievement.
At the junior championship of Russia, she took the seventh place and did not qualify for the national team. As the athlete confessed, this had a negative effect on her psychological state. At that time, she had failed a lot, although there was no obvious reason for that. Then she began to miss training, and then completely left Tutberidze. Nevertheless, Tarakanova emphasized that she had never had any complaints about the mentor, who took her to such a high level.
Low results and total confusion led to thoughts about the end of a sports career. However, on the advice of another figure skater Serafima Sakhanovich, in July Tarakanova appealed to the Plushenko academy and decided to stay in it. She liked the training methods, as well as the relationship between mentors and female students.
“Before, I always thought that I needed a strict trainer who would give me a jerk if something goes wrong. Here, they do not scold me, but calm me down, ”the figure skater told Gazeta.ru in an interview.
Season 2018/19 started for Tarakanova quite successfully. She won the junior Grand Prix stage in Slovenia and became the second in a similar tournament in Canada. In the final, the figure skater became the fourth, skipping ahead of compatriots Alexander Trusov, Alena Kostornaya and Anna Scherbakov.
However, Anastasia failed to shine at the adult championship of Russia. She filled up the short program, having received a modest score from the judges and taking 17th place out of 18. And even a relatively decent performance of an arbitrary did not help her to be among the top ten. At the junior championship of Russia in February, Tarakanova set personal records in the short program and amount, but only the seventh remained.
