The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a heavy snow warning for Tokyo's 23 wards and the Tama region just after 10:30 am.

It was the first time since January 6 last year that a heavy snow warning was issued for the 23 wards of Tokyo.

In particular, the Japan Meteorological Agency is calling for vigilance regarding the impact on traffic, as road closures, train suspensions, and delays may occur during the hours of returning home from evening to night.

In areas where heavy snow is expected, avoid driving a car with normal tires, and if you use public transportation, consider returning home early.

It is necessary to be very careful about falling accidents due to road surface freezing and power outages due to snow accumulation.

Kimitoshi Sato, a weather forecaster, explains the outlook for the future (at 11:00 am).
