According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the winter-type atmospheric pressure pattern will intensify next week. Strong winds and heavy snowfall are possible.

On the 24th, extremely strong cold air with a temperature of -12 degrees Celsius or less is expected to flow into the sky around 1,500 meters above a wide area of Japan and reach Kagoshima Prefecture.

In January 2016, a cold air of minus 12 degrees Celsius flowed into the sky at around 1,500 meters above the southern part of Kyushu, causing heavy snow in Kyushu, causing a series of falls and accidents. In addition, more than 260 people were injured.

In Amami City, Kagoshima Prefecture, snow was observed for the first time in 115 years.

The Japan Meteorological Agency does not know the detailed snow forecast at this time, but it is likely that it will be the same level as the Christmas season at the end of last month, when the snowfall centered on the Sea of Japan side of Hokkaido to Kyushu, Shikoku and Tokai. We are calling for attention to future information, as there is a risk that it will be colder than that.
